Whenever Waves introduces a new version, one of the older versions is no longer supported. We know that Waves keeps tight control over what versions you can run on what OS, using its Waves Central installation app. Almost all of their plugins are up to industry standards and sound. Version 14 was released in June 2022 - only eight months later. Waves is one of the leading audio companies in the world right now and for good reason. Version 13 was released in October 2021 - one year later. Here are the dates of Waves previous releases: The strange thing is that Waves is accelerating the rate at which it releases these versions. Waves says that there are some optimisations in the plugins to make them load faster, the interface is slightly higher resolution, the vintage compressors now have a mix knob, and there are lots of bug fixes that are included. In the past week or so, Waves released version 14 of its plugins. Whatever you run through it, it just sounds BETTER. ![]()
